Health Irish Dental Association sounds alarm over lack of regulation
The Irish Dental Association has told the government that it is “deeply concerned” about the lack of regulation in the sector in comparison to other health professions. In an email to Stephen Donnelly, the minister for health, Fintan Hourihan, the chief executive of the association, said that it was not shocked by the findings of a RTÉ Investigates programme this week that outlined cross-border importation of Botox and its sale by unqualified individuals.
