Will Fleury, the Irish light heavyweight champion, is set to challenge for the vacant heavyweight world title against Lazar Todev at OKTAGON 68 in Germany on March 8th. A victory would make Fleury a two-weight world champion. Fleury previously defeated Karlos Vemola last month to secure the light heavyweight belt.

Fleury is set to battle it out for the vacant heavyweight world title belt at OKTAGON 68 in Stuttgart, Germany. The Tipperary man already holds the light heavyweight championship belt after beating Czech fighter Karlos Vemola last month.Speaking after his victory over Vemola, Fleury said: “In 2024 I’ve done absolutely everything I said I was going to do.
"I don’t know how Karlos survived five rounds. I hit him with everything I had, and he was still standing. What a fighter, what a man. “I’ve gone and done it, but I have a lot more to do. I’ve had a big ‘24, but I’ve got even bigger plans in 2025. Karlos opened the door for me, he gave me this chance, and now I’m here to stay.”
