Irish in Mallorca react to bar collapse: 'Everyone is in shock'

Two German tourists, a Senegalese man, and a Spanish woman all lost their lives according to local police

Officials have confirmed that no Irish holidaymakers died or were injured when a building collapsed in Mallorca, killing four people.

“It’s very touristy and from this time of year is when Irish holidaymakers would visit. They might stay in somewhere like Santa Ponsa and come to Palma for a day-trip, so it would be unlikely that they would be there at night-time. A spokesperson told the Irish Mirror: "We are aware of reports of an incident and stand ready to provide consular assistance."
