An Irish Lotto player came agonisingly close to becoming Ireland 's newest millionaire after they missed out on the €1 million Lotto Plus 1 jackpot on offer in Saturday's draw by just one number.The biggest prize won by an Irish player came in tonight's Lotto Plus 1 draw, where a punter narrowly missed on bagging the €1m jackpot up for grabs after matching five correct numbers plus the bonus, meaning they were just one correct number away from scooping the life-changing prize.
Meanwhile, the numbers called in Saturday's main Lotto draw were: 02, 20, 26, 29, 32, 41 and the bonus number was 38. The €250,000 jackpot on offer in this draw went unclaimed, although one player came close to bagging the huge sum, missing out on the top prize by just one number. However, the Lotto player still managed to pocket a tidy sum after bagging the Match 5 + Bonus of €2,500.
