John Mitchell could be in line for a huge payday when he competes at the 3Arena in December.
Cork MMA fighter John Mitchell is just one win away from taking home a cheque for $100,000 and a European title to boot.
The 27-year-old was far superior to his French opponent and his conditioning shone through in an extremely impressive and commanding final round.Speaking to CorkBeo, John said the third-round performance was no fluke: "I'd put it down to both coaching from my corner and my conditioning. I'd worked a lot on it and now with the final being five rounds, I'm really looking forward to showing off my conditioning.
"The support has been brilliant, everyone I know is going to the fight, my friend is out here with me at the moment and he was naming lads I didn't even know that are going to the fight." Despite the pressure of the title bout, John is taking it one fight at a time: "I'm not really thinking of the money or the title at the moment, I'm just thinking about fighting this guy".
