In the world of sports, the spirit of determination knows no boundaries. Paralympic athletes embody this ethos, and Portarlington native Nicole Turner shares her experiences and invaluable advice
Irish Paralympian swimmer Nicole Turner has given up a lifetime of social calls and nights out to dedicate herself to her sport, but admits that it was not always easy.
"I think going back to my younger years, if you have a talent stick at it. If it was easy, everyone would do it," she told RSVP Live. Nicole explains that her solid group of friends are understanding of her having to miss out on a party here or an occasion there. Her advice to other budding athletes is simple - never let anyone ever tell you that you can't do what you set out to achieve.
