Linfield's David Healy signs a contract extension to remain manager at Windsor Park.

Blues boss since 2015, the 45-year-old's deal was due to expire at the end of this season and he had been subject of an approach from Scottish Championship side Raith Rovers last week. That prompted speculation that Saturday's 5-1 win over Loughgall could be former Northern Ireland striker Healy's last game in charge at Windsor.

"I am pleased that the club was prepared to extend my contact at Linfield and I am thankful to the board for the support they have given me," Healy said. “We have made a solid start to the season and I am delighted to continue working with this squad of players who share my determination to bring further success to the club."
