Wheatfield Prison in Dublin put on high alert after bomb threat
Gardai are hunting for the culprit after a call was made to Wheatfield Prison in Clondalkin, Dublin on Thursday.Gardai were contacted immediately and a team is now investigating whether there was any substance to the threat.
A spokesperson for the Irish Prison Service confirmed the incident occurred, adding that gardai are now looking for the perpetrator. They said: "The Irish Prison Service can confirm it received a phone message today 13/02/2020 by somebody claiming they were going to blow up Wheatfield Prison.
