Irish Rail has announced its late-night Christmas timetables for Dublin.
There will be special DART and Commuter services each Friday and Saturday night in the run-up to Christmas Eve , starting on December 2nd.· 00:30 & 01:30 from Connolly serving all stations to Greystones
· 00:40 & 01:40 from Pearse serving Tara St, Connolly, and all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk· 23:50 & 01:50 from Pearse serving all stations to Drumcondra, and all stations from ParkWest to KildareWhile there will also be additional trains on New Years Eve:· 01:30 & 02:30 from Connolly serving all stations to Greystones
· 01:40 & 02:40 from Pearse serving Tara St, Connolly, and all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk· 00.50 & 02:50 from Pearse serving all stations to Drumcondra, and all stations from ParkWest to Kildare Irish Rail says there will be security personnel on board the services to ensure the safety of passengers.
It comes amid an expected scramble for taxis over the festive period as there's a shortage of taxi drivers.
