'There is that pressure of how you’re going to go viral when you know there’s artists with hundreds of thousands of dollars budget behind their song going viral.' lisamurray irishmusic

Lisa Murray says there is “pressure” to go viral with music now with TikTok becoming the hub for popular songs.

She told RSVP Live: “I loved it straight away. I quickly discovered that I couldn’t just play the notes on the sheet music in front of me, but that I could play all the other notes and keys on the piano to make up my own little melodies. “I did music in Trinity College Dublin. In the last two years of the course, I specialised in music technology and that’s what got me really interested in learning how to produce music, engineering and get more creative with my music

As the music industry continues to change, there is a huge focus on getting your songs to go viral on platforms like TikTok.“I really love social media and I like engaging with people on there and sharing what I’m up to. I’ve made a lot of great connections and a lot of great friends through music on Instagram, especially during the pandemic,” she explained.
