The dates for the payment of bonuses announced in last month's Budget have been revealed
A range of social welfare bonuses that were announced in Budget 2024 will start to land in people’s bank accounts this month, but more are due right before Christmas.
They’re part of a €1.2 billion package aimed at assisting pensioners, carers, people with disabilities and struggling families amid the cost-of-living crisis. Here are details of further bonuses, increases, and once-off payments that are due in December and January: “The objective, really of any government, is that people’s living standard should rise every year, that their income should rise faster than inflation, than the cost of living,” he added.
