Waterford teenager who stabbed gay lover six times avoids jail
A teenage knife psycho who stabbed his gay lover six times after details of their sexual encounters emerged will not spend a day behind bars.
The accused, who had known the victim since childhood, became involved in a sexual tryst with the 17 year-old before the vicious attack on December 18, 2016. The scumbag then arranged a meeting with Mr O’Brien at a secluded location in Dungarvan Bay under the false pretence that they were “just going to chat”.
The Dungarvan native pleaded with his attacker to stop but Moore, who was also 17 at the time. screamed back “this is all your fault, you shouldn’t have told people, and now you have to pay”. Moore then shouted after him: “I know you are going to tell people ...if you do, I will find you and stab you to death.”
He added: “No young person should have to suffer in this way because the perpetrator of the offence is going through a period of confusion about his own sexual identity.
