An Irish Times opinion piece has been taken down after a number of people online suggested it may have been the work of an AI chatbot or part of a hoax on the newspaper.
The decision follows claims online by Irish users of Reddit and Twitter that AI tools had been used in the development of the piece, which is attributed to Adriana Acosta-Cortez, an immigrant from Ecuador.
