Dublin woman tells of applying for RTE's First Dates Ireland after cancer diagnosis
A First Dates contestant says she applied to go on the show in a panic after finding out she had a cancer gene and wanted to live life to the full.She applied for the RTE dating show after she got the news she had the BRCA gene.
“When they found my cancer it was at an early stage, but because I was young and it was aggressive, it’s gone but there’s always a chance it will come back. “I’ve always had big boobs but the whole lot has to go, I’m going for reconstruction, I know it’s a lot but I’ve given so much to cancer, after years, I don’t know if I can handle the mental strain.
