International Numerologist Grainne Tyndall breaks down the history of Friday the 13th superstition and reveals why it's actually a lucky number.
Friday the 13th has been a day of note for centuries, from popular horror movies to the fear of bad things happening.
Many people believe it dates back to the Last Supper in the Christian faith and how the 13th guest, Judas, betrayed Jesus. “It’s very much my belief it’s to keep women back in medieval times and repressed. Even the name, Friday itself, we have Good Friday and Friday in French is vendredi, which is ruled by Venus, who is a goddess. It’s very much an attempt, in my belief, to suppress the power of the woman.”
“13 is a karmic number in numerology,” she said. “It just means there’s extra lessons and blessings. For me, 13 always relates to the heart of the matter - the heart chakra, which relates to love and the divine masculine and the divine feminine.”
