It was a huge success last series!

ITV have announced they’ll be pausing the new islanders Instagram accounts prior to them entering the villa. It’s in an attempt to limit online abuse towards them and their families while they are inside the villa.

The fan-favourite reality dating show is due to start in just a couple of weeks – June 5th to be exact – and this new restriction has been put in place as part of the broadcaster’s new duty of care guidelines and procedures.Contestants have never been allowed access to social media while inside the villa, which meant in previous years many handed the reins over to a friend or family member to post content on their behalf.
