Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has declared that she wouldn't accept a hypothetical apology from Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson over their differing views on the trans community
J.K. Rowling, 58, has implied she will "never forgive" Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson over their unwavering and vocal support of the trans community.
Writing on Twitter on Wednesday night, Harry Potter author Rowling - who also uses the male pen name Robert Galbraith - shared multiple posts with her 14.1million followers, with one reading: "Over the last four years, Hilary Cass has conducted the most robust review of the medical evidence for transitioning children that's ever been conducted. Mere hours after it was released to the press and public, committed ideologues are doubling down.
Back in 2020, when Rowling first went public with her gender critical views, both Radcliffe and Watson both issued statements of support for the trans community and have reiterated their positions several times since. "Transgender women are women.
Watson also publicly reacted to Rowling going public with her views in June 2020, tweeting: "Trans people are who they say they are and deserve to live their lives without being constantly questioned or told they aren't who they say they are." In an additional tweet, the actress told her fans: "I want my trans followers to know that I and so many other people around the world see you, respect you and love you for who you are.
