The Kerryman has been sidelined since breaking his leg for the sixth time when suffering a heavy fall at Fairyhouse last November

Kennedy told the Unbridled Podcast: "It's going well, the physios and surgeon are happy with it. I'm back to the hospital on the 25th of this month and I'll hopefully know more then. The injury-plagued jockey missed the 2023 Cheltenham Festival due to a leg break, but this time he feels better prepared, physically and mentally.

"I've got a small bit of a limp, but I've had that anyway from one of the other breaks. I'm off the crutches and physio's starting to ramp up now. It's tough but it's got to be done.
