Jada Pinkett Smith has confirmed she's been separated from Will Smith for seven years. They're not divorced, but not romantically together.
“Just not being ready…still trying to figure out between the two of us how to be in partnership,” she said.“I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce. We will work through whatever, and I just haven’t been able to break that promise.”
She said their relationship was fractured but they tried for years to fix it. However, in 2016, they realised there was no coming back from the damage that was done. “Why it fractured…that — that’s a lot of things … By the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying. I think we were both kind of just still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be,” she shared.
