Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has shown Erik ten Hag what he can offer the club despite talks commencing surrounding his future.
The Englishman has been the centre of transfer interest throughout the summer as the uneasy truce between Ten Hag and Sancho continues to wobble. MEN Sport understands that at the beginning of the week, the Reds were in negotiations with Juventus for a deal that would see Sancho leave the club. Catching wind of this, Chelsea approached United with the proposal of a swap deal with the Reds getting Raheem Sterling in exchange for Sancho. So far, these talks have been merely exploratory and would only progress if Ineos could not reach an agreement with Juve for their winger.The Turin club's stance has strengthened on Wednesday with Federico Chiesa en-route to Liverpool after agreeing a move to Anfield.
Of course, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that Sancho remains a United player once the window shuts on Friday evening and if that does happen, the winger has sent a message to Ten Hag about what he can offer the club. Taking to Instagram, Sancho posted a short clip on his story of him scoring a sensational goal at Carrington alongside Antony and Bruno Fernandes.
The volley was pretty sublime and led to both his United teammates enveloping the winger in an embrace. On Tuesday, United released images from training but Sancho was not included in the gallery.
