The Jaguar caught fire in Rochdale town centre
A car burst into flames after appearing to crash into a lamppost. The drama brought traffic to a standstill in Rochdale this morning.
Firefighters wearing breathing gear spent almost an hour at the scene, putting out the flames and making the vehicle safe before it was towed away. There are no reports of serious injuries. It is believed the driver managed to get out before the fire took hold.Motorists said the incident brought traffic 'to a standstill' in the area.
