JamesCameron says AvatarTheWayOfWater was 'the Worst Business Case in Movie History'
Avatar: The Way of Water was"the worst business case in movie history" according to James Cameron. In a recent GQ interview, the director explained how much the film would have to make to break even. $2 billion is a staggering number to even think about, but Cameron said,"you have to be the third or fourth highest-grossing film in history." That's the bar to just break even. It's a wild concept to consider on any level.
"I said something I've never said to anybody else in the business," Cameron told the outlet GQ. "'I think this movie is going to make all the f-cking money. And when it does, it's going to be too late for you to love the film. The time for you to love the movie is today.
