The 23-year-old has been out since Ireland's clash with Fiji on November 23 when he sustained a groin injury. His availability is a boost for Leo Cullen, who has seen his backline depleted in recent weeks due to several injuries. 15 against the Reds. Two other backs, Jordan Larmour and Tommy O'Brien, were withdrawn from the match day squad last week as a precaution and will be further assessed this week.
