Japan's Honda Step WGN Transformed Into A Stylish Camper | Carscoops carscoops

served as a base for a very cool-looking camper by a Japanese company called White House. The model will debut at this year’s Japan Camping Car Show, adding a pop-up roof, swivel seats, and a fully-equipped kitchenette to the already practical interior of the three-row minivan.

The model is part of the “Deck One” camper series and is called “Pop Joy” due to the pop-up roof. The latter increases the height of the vehicle to 2,045 mm but follows the simple lines of the original design, blending with the bodywork in the closed position. When it opens up, it increases the interior space of the Step WGN, making room for a double bed measuring 1,880 by 1,030 mm .Inside the cabin, the seats can fold flat, creating a second double bed.

The seats of the driver and the front passenger can swivel 180 degrees, combined with a table/desk. Campers usually get hungry which is why White House added a fully equipped kitchenette. This is mounted at the back and includes a microwave oven, a gas stove burner, a portable fridge, a small sink, an extra storage compartment, and a sliding kitchen countertop that can also serve as a dining table.Step WGN is available with a turbocharged 1.5-liter VTEC engine or with the hybrid 2.
