GAA president defended their position on 'selling games' after outrage in wake of Cork Limerick Munster Championship classic behind paywall
GAA President Jarlath Burns has hit back at Tyrone legend Sean Cavanagh after his contribution to the GAA GO debate on The Saturday game on RTE. Saturday night’s thrilling Munster SHC clash between Cork and Limerick at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh was shown on GAA GO and not free-to-air on terrestrial television.
"The money is 50/50, 50 per cent RTÉ and 50 per cent GAA - the GAA is profit making out of this vehicle, it is being used as a subsidy. “That's a superficial and emotional comment that doesn't take into account the complexities of the logistics that we have to deal with in the real world,” said Burns.
