West Brom midfielder Jayson Molumby has signed a new three-year contract with the club.

West Brom ’s interim head coach Chris Brunt has paid tribute to Ireland midfielder Jayson Molumby following the news of the 25-year-old’s decision to extend his stay at the Championship side. Molomby has signed a three-year extension to his current deal, which is due to expire in the summer, tying him to the Baggies until the summer of 2028. And Brunt, who has taken charge since the shock exit of Carlos Corberan to Valencia, says it’s good news for all involved.

“It's fair to say Jayson's been one of the more consistent players we've had all season,” said the interim head coach. “He wears his heart on his sleeve every day. He goes out and gives his all in training, every game. He never stops and that's the sort of player you want in your team and squad. “The lads all love him. He has played 125 times for the club to date, including 22 in the Championship so far this season, and has scored seven goals. The Waterford native reacted to his new deal by saying: “I’ve been at the club since 2021 and it’s a place where I feel really happy. “There are so many good people here who I love being around every single day and I’m delighted to be extending my contract. “I’ve been pleased with my performances this season, but everyone knows I want to get even better, and I believe I’m on the right track to doing that here at Albion. “We all want to be successful this season and I’m completely focused on giving everything I’ve got every week to help us achieve what we want to achiev
