If Lawrence’s red-carpet style has historically tipped towards the Princessy – think A-line dresses with shimmering embellishments – her recent appearances suggest she’s entered a new high-fashion era.
It’s J-Law’s nighttime outfit, though, that proved a particular talking point in theoffices: a beige bustier dress from Loewe’s autumn/winter 2023 collection, the cotton-velvet fabric deliberately cut to stand stiffly away from the body.
Jonathan Anderson described the collection – which marked 10 years since his tenure at Loewe began – as “couture classicism meeting something which is new”. Happily, Lawrence’s stylist Jamie Mizrahi kept the accessories to the bare minimum, too, allowing Anderson’s design to have its moment in the spotlight.
