Former football player Jermaine Jenas was awarded an impressive pay packet from the BBC during his time presenting The One Show and Match of the Day before his sacking
Jenas has been sacked by the BBC after they received allegations of inappropriate behaviour. The former football player, 41, worked as a pundit and presenter for Match of the Day, as well as being a regular host for The One Show . In a statement, a BBC spokesperson said: “We can confirm that he is no longer part of our presenting line up.”

It has been reported Jenas has since been taken off agency MC Saatchi's website following reports of his axing. "It all came as a massive shock but his colleagues have now been told the news and he won't be back," a source told the publication.
During his sporting career, Jenas played for England as well as Tottenham Hotspur for eight years between 2005 and 2013 after signing from Newcastle United. He made his first team debut for Nottingham Forest, where he joined aged 17. Jenas moved to Newcastle United in 2002 for a big-money move and was named PFA Young Player of the Year.
