Leeds-based Jet2 has announced all its staff will be getting a 9% pay rise this year as well as an extra holiday day.
The firm will also increase the terms of their share profit scheme for the current financial year. This means eligible workers will receive a share of 6% of the profits instead of 5%.Chief Executive Steve Heapy wrote a letter addressed to Jet2's workers. It said: "We have the best colleagues in the industry, and this is reiterated constantly with all the customer service awards we receive.
She also said: "We’re also giving back more of the profit we make to our colleagues to recognise what they do for us. We want to look after our people and make sure we’re treating them the best we can. This comes after the company increased salaries by 4% last year, followed by another 4% increase soon afterwards. Workers were also paid a £1,000 'thank you' bonus and were give increased holiday days.
