The American singer has passed away following health troubles in recent months, leaving his wife and three kids behind.
The post stated that the singer: "Passed away peacefully on the night of September 1 surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs. He lived his life like a song till the very last breath and will be missed beyond measure by so many."
According to Forbes, the singer also leaves behind a huge fortune with a net worth thought to be as much as $1 billion, reports the Mirror. One wrote: "Thank you Jimmy! I see the world differently and better because of you! RIP", while another said: "Absolutely devastated. So grateful we saw you live so many times. Love you Jimmy,"The singer had been in and out of hospital in the months before his death, initially admitted back in May, according to reports from CNN.
