Captain Con Power was a household name during a golden era for Irish showjumping that saw them win several Aga Khan Nations Cup trophies at the RDS at a time when the sport was hugely popular in Ireland.
The fab four was made up of Power, Paul Darragh, James Kernan and Eddie Macken. Their horses became well known too with names like Boomerang and Rockbarton famous names in the sport. He won the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2017 on Sizing John, and several major races including the Irish Grand National, before retiring in 2022.
