President Biden will seek a second term in the White House, with a repeat of his infamous 2020 election battle with Donald Trump looking increasingly likely.
In announcing his candidacy, Mr. Biden also spoke about the threat which"MAGA extremists" pose to American freedom.
MAGA is of course the acronym for Donald Trump's infamous political slogan,"Make America Great Again", who is looking increasingly likely to hold off Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and secure the Republican nomination for the 2024 race.Despite steering the US through the majority of the Covid-19 pandemic, alongside record low levels of unemployment, President Biden has seen his popularity wain due to concerns over the US economy, principally caused by high inflation rates.
Former Californian Attorney General Kamala Harris will remain as Mr. Biden's running mate for the 2024 race, despite the Vice-President also suffering from truncated approval ratings.
