Spotify has said it won't be cancelling Joe Rogan's podcast, but if the sides do part, he apparently has a suitor and a lucrative contract in the waiting.
If Joe Rogan and Spotify were to break up it appears he has a suitor, and a lucrative deal waiting on him. Joe Rogan spent part of his Saturday apologizing for repeatedly using the N-word during past podcasts and also comparing a Black neighborhood to “Planet of the Apes.”
And, never mind that Rogan reportedly has a multi-year, $100-million dollar contract with Spotfiy, because reports say that Rumble is ready to put its money where its offer to come on over is and give him $100 million across four years for his shows. So, while Spotify has reportedly quietly pulled down more than 70 episodes in the wake of it all, Rumble is rolling out the welcome mat. But, in the end, it could be a relief for Spotify if they were able to work out a sports-like sign-and-trade deal … or something … because it has been a rough couple of weeks for Rogan and the streaming platform.
“I am doing this because Spotify is spreading false information about vaccines — potentially causing death to those who believe the disinformation being spread by them,” Young wrote at the time.
