2-20 joined by Ralphy River on this new release
Sligo native rapper and producer Martin Carr is 2-20. With many of Ireland’s hip-hop and urban music scenes only now beginning to rumble from urban areas, growing up in rural Ireland meant little to no exposure to hip-hop music.
Without local influences to have imprinted upon his musical aspirations, 2-20 garners inspiration from overseas, citing artists such as Anderson Paak and Steve Lacey as influences. Perhaps surprisingly, the hook and chorus on 'Trust Me' come from New Jersey based artist Ralphy River. He is making waves as a key component to the 070 collective that features artist 070 Shake, who is also signed to Kanye West’s record label GOOD music.and there is no doubt he's a man on a mission. Representing the west in the Irish hip-hop scene.
