Leeds United forward Joël Piroe says he is enjoying his hybrid role alongside strike partner Georginio Rutter at Elland Road.
The Dutchman who joined Leeds over the summer in a £12 million transfer has scored five times in his first nine outings for the Whites but debate has raged among supporters regarding the 24-year-old’s best position. Piroe’s goalscoring at previous club Swansea City led many to believe the Whites’ No. 7 could be their bonafide No. 9 this season, but manager Daniel Farke has deployed the team’s current top scorer in a deeper supporting forward role.
