Sam Curtis, 18, has already made his first-team debut for Sheffield United
The former St Patrick’s Athletic defender is already turning heads at Sheffield United having joined the Blades in January.
Curtis, capped by Ireland up to Under-21 level, could feature more often next season with United relegated to the Championship. “He has settled in really well,” said Egan yesterday. “I got to know him quite early on because I was his taxi driver for the first couple of months! “He’s come over and not been shy - he’s got stuck in straight away and became part of the dressing room fairly quickly.Egan’s own club future is up in the air as contract talks rumble on, but whether or not he’s at the club next season, he expects Curtis to break through even more.
