The Warriors and Falcons were up for a repeat Saturday at Jordan High School, leading a competitive District 19-6A race.
"The girls have come so far and it's awesome to see us all grow," Jordan sophomore Emma Aumaugher said."We all swim together for club and everything so it's really fun." Aumaugher was voted Female Swimmer of the Meet after setting a district record in the 200-yard individual medley and adding another gold medal in the 100-yard butterfly. Swimming in her home pool only added to an exceptional day.
"Back to back," Gray said."Going into the meet that was everyone's mindset. We wanted to repeat as district champions. We wanted to uphold our title. Everyone knew what we had to do and we got it done." "I'm super pleased with what I could do," Gray said."I knew it would be close between Seven Lakes and Tompkins. I knew I had to do my job and win both races."Taylor's Logan Pack was honored as Male Swimmer of the Meet, breaking district records in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke.
