There was plenty of tension involved.

Jordan Henderson was left less than impressed with a Dutch reporter's line of questioning after Ajax drew 2-2 with Fortuna Sittard. The 33-year-old has won only one of those games, although has been entrusted with a senior leadership role as he looks to guide Ajax back up the Eredivisie standings after a tough first half of the season.

Henderson, who was clearly taken aback by the line of questioning, laughed before firing back: "No, because we didn't lose. As you just asked us before the cameras came on."We knew this was going to be tough, but sometimes when you're not playing well, it's good that you don't lose."He said: "Well, we'll have to analyse the game back. In possession, we could have been better. We could have penetrated more, if that's what you mean.

"But we could have created more chances, we didn't really create until 2-1 down and then we started pushing on."Overall, you're right, the performance could have been a lot better, should have been better. But like I said, when you're not performing well, you keep going right until the end and we didn't lose."

When the reporter asked whether he could describe the display as a 'poor performance', Henderson bluntly responded: "You can call it what you want."The first leg ended 0-0 after a game which saw a combined total of just three shots on target from the two teams.
