Jordan Henderson has gone to extreme lengths to be in Berlin for the European Championship final between England and Spain, having been left out of Gareth Southgate's squad

Jordan Henderson has made an incredible eight-hour journey to cheer on England in their Euro 2024 final.

Henderson is a huge England fan and, despite his disappointment, has great respect for Gareth Southgate and the set-up so wanted to make it. The mammoth drive takes roughly eight hours – but nothing was going to stop Henderson from seeing England potentially win their first trophy in 58 years. Speaking pre-match, Southgate said: “He’s an experienced player and we feel his return to play we’ve managed pretty well. He’s ready to play.

‌On the challenge facing his against Spain, the standout team in the tournament, Southgate added: ‘We’ve got to use the ball well. The press really well. We’ve got to move the ball quickly through or around them. “Then you’ve got to be disciplined in how you defend. You can’t just go tearing around the pitch. But we believe we’ve got everything in the squad to go and get the win.”
