The head of Israel’s Shin Bet domestic security agency, Ronen Bar, will be part of the Israeli delegation, according to a security source. “The decision to take part in the Aqaba meeting despite the pain and massacres being endured by the Palestinian people comes from a desire to bring an end to the bloodshed,” the movement said.
The talks aim to agree “security and economic measures to ease the hardships of the Palestinian people”, the official added.Since the start of this year, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has claimed the lives of 62 Palestinian adults and children, including militants and civilians.
