Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson is due to name his final squad next Thursday for the Nations League games against Bulgaria
Stephen Bradley wants Heimir Hallgrimsson to tell League of Ireland players that the door is always open for them.
That doesn’t mean he will make the final trimmed down squad when Hallgrimsson reveals his selection next Thursday. But Ireland assistant manager John O’Shea was at Tolka Park last Friday to watch the Hoops’ draw with Shelbourne. Rovers boss Bradley blasted Hallgrimsson last month, after the Ireland manager seemed to imply that players needed to move away from the league to win caps.
“But the message needs to be whether it's this league or League 2, the Conference, someone in Canada, America, wherever… Bradley continued: “I understand players that are playing in the Premier League, and Celtic and the Champions League, high Championship, that's elite levels.
