The Limerick businessman has won the famous race on two occasions, with Don't Push It in 2010 and with Minella Times in 2021
JP McManus has revealed that he has backed Limerick Lace for Saturday's Randox Aintree Grand National .
This year he has five runners in Capodanno, I Am Maximus, Janidil, Limerick Lace and Meetingofthewaters.Willie Mullins trains four of those horses, with I Am Maximus and Meetinofthewaters among the favourites for the marathon contest. He told ITV Racing: "They are all fit and well and had good preparations, so I wouldn't stop anyone from backing any of the four of them.
Limerick Lace was the brave winner of the Mrs Paddy Power Mares' Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last month.
