Jubilee party held near Grenfell Tower in honour of QueenA breakfast Jubilee party has been held on the Lancaster West estate near the Grenfell Tower.
Emma, one of the residents of the estate who remembers the Queen's visit, said:"We had a lot of people turn up after the fire but she actually came down, showed her emotions and shared how it'd affected her - obviously not as a resident but she empathised with us." The Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were among those who attended - although Her Majesty stayed home after suffering"discomfort" yesterday.Public service was the theme at the heart of the event, with 400 people who are recipients of honours, including NHS and key workers who were recognised for their work during the pandemic, invited. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have departed the Guildhall after attending a lunch reception.
"The context of those conversations are rightly by convention completely private and confidential and I won't breach that. As royals, including Prince William, Kate, Prince Harry, and Meghan arrived for the Service of Thanksgiving, people couldn't help but pick up on the burger and fries chain across the road.
