Judge denies realDonaldTrump's bid to dismiss E. Jean Carroll sexual assault allegations lawsuit
Trump's motion to dismiss the lawsuit filed in November by Carroll was denied by U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan in Manhattan. The judge rejected Trump's argument that New York's Adult Survivors Act, under which Carroll filed her claim, is unconstitutional.
Trump's argument was that Carroll's defamation claim was legally insufficient because her "special damages" allegation was without merit.
