Feuding criminal Paul Crosby was once given a stern but chilling warning by a judge that “someone would kill or maim” in the drugs trade, we can reveal.
The now serial criminal - who was a close pal of Lawlor and amassed over 40 convictions - appeared in court for the first time in January 2015 on a €20 cannabis charge. In what Crosby’s solicitor described in court that day as a “milestone event” after the then 19-year-old was stopped by gardai, had his car seized and the cannabis found on him, the solicitor asked the judge to “give him one chance.”Applying the Probation Act, the judge told Crosby to “look after your clean record.”
