A judge has been urged to place a forestry firm which allegedly perpetuated “clear fraud” into liquidation because of the complexity anticipated in the winding-up process.
GWD Forestry Limited, which raised around €30 million from investors for plantations in Brazil and Canada, is facing a petition to be wound up by a creditor who alleges the company was a “scam” which perpetuated “clear fraud”.
