Judges who officiated Daina Moorehouse loss has been stood down in 2021

Two judges that had been stood down in 2021 have officiated at this summer's Paris Olympic Games, including in Daina Moorehouse's controversial loss to France's Wassila Lkhadiri.

According to the report, the pair were randomly selected for integrity tests back in 2021 during the AIBA World Championships and were stood down. The International Olympic Council runs the event in Paris and it has been revealed that the two judges passed background checks ahead of this summer's games.

In the stands after the fight, more Irish coaches and officials, including high-performance director Patricia Heberle and head coach Zaur Antia were vocal about their disappointment. Heberle also had her say. "We have no ability to complain about judging. What did you see today? You have been watching boxing a long, long time," she said.
