Viewers were left frustrated during the debate, moderated by Julie Etchingham
Viewers of the ITV General Election debate between Sir Keir Starmer and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak slammed the head to head as 'chaotic' and 'pointless' on Tuesday night .
The Labour party and Conservatives leaders went head to head in the first televised leaders’ debate of the General Election campaign - exactly a month before voters across the nation take to the polls for the general election on July 4.But viewers were quick to air their thoughts on social media, with a number of people urging presenter Julie Etchingham to 'get a hold' of the pair who were 'interrupting' each other.
@Gillian24448105 shared: "Might as well watch Joey Essex on Love Island-it will probably make more sense" as @cwhinney wrote: "#ITVDebate format is terrible. Not enough time to really answer questions and Sunak is being allowed to interrupt all the time."
