Jurgen Klopp hailed Darwin Nunez - despite a terrible miss - as well as Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo following his Liverpool side's 5-1 Europa League win over Toulouse
Jurgen Klopp has played down Darwin Nunez’s calamitous miss in Liverpool’s 5-1 victory over Toulouse.
“He played incredible,” said the Liverpool boss. “Honestly, in this moment I couldn’t care less that he hit the post because everything before was super convincing. “For us that is obviously important. I’m really pleased for him with the performance. Yes, it is a bit of slapstick that the ball doesn’t go in. Ryan finishes it off then it’s cool.
“I really like him , as a boy and as a player,” Klopp said. “It is really nice to see how much he starts believing in himself again. That is obviously very important for a young player especially so that is cool.
