After a hectic summer touring festivals, Kasey Campion announces she's stepping back to focus on her FM104 radio show, podcast, and social media presence following her recent Home & Lifestyle InstaStar win. She reflects on her journey from behind‑the‑scenes work to headline status, humorously recounting her early days handling studio tasks and her desire to moderate her online hustle.
Kasey Campion is a busy woman! After spending the summer going from festival to festival, she is ready to relax for the next few months.
She walked away from this year’s Hayu STELLAR InstaStar Awards as this year’s Home & Lifestyle InstaStar. She even Lush Lifed on stage!
“Life is good. Life is so busy. I have the radio five nights a week, I have the podcast once a week, and I am posting 50 million videos a day, so it’s a lot. But I love it,” she shares.
She landed her show on FM104, Locked In, last July and she tells us that she had been grafting behind the scenes since leaving college.
“I was working in FM104 for two years already and all I ever wanted was to have my own radio show. I had my eye on it,” she says.
“I worked my way up until I finally got it. In my head it was always mine. I had manifested it. But it was still mad when I actually got it.
Every day when I go in I can’t believe it’s my actual job! I love it. ” Of course, with a strong social media presence come the negatives. And she admits she has been dealing with people not realising that she worked behind the scenes for years before she got her radio show.
She jokes that she “cleaned the toilets” in FM104.
“Your girl went to college. Your girl has a degree. Your girl worked there. I did grind,” she announces.
Kasey Campion “Honestly, I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing. I actually want to tone it back a little bit. The summer was crazy, so keep the podcast going, keep the radio going and who knows. ”Watch this space!
